Application Timeline
After submitting your application, the hiring team will review it. You will typically be notified of your status within a week, primarily via email.
- Application
Complete and submit your online application! You may attach a resume, but it is not required and it does not replace completing the application in its entirety.
- Pre-Employment Assessments
Pre-Employment Assessments, when applicable, may be used to supplement the selection process to assess employer/employee fit. Candidates will be contacted via email with information on how to access and complete the assessments. The assessments are completed online. It is important to complete these assessments at your earliest opportunity.
- Interview
Candidates selected to advance in the process will be contacted via email to schedule an in-person interview. Calumet County uses panel interviews, so there will be more than one interviewer. Some departments require a second interview as well.
- Reference Checks
Prior to extending an offer, the hiring team contact the candidate's professional references.
- Offer of Employment
Candidates selected as the best, most qualified candidate will receive a conditional offer of employment. Offers are typically sent via email for the candidate's review and consideration. To accept the offer, the candidate will sign and return the offer to the hiring team. For questions or concerns regarding the offer, candidates are directed to contact the Human Resources Director.
- Pre-Employment Requirements
Upon acceptance of a position, a candidate will be required to complete pre-employment requirements based upon the position accepted. Pre-employment requirements include a drug screen and a criminal background check at a minimum.
- Onboarding
The new hire will be invited to our Onboarding Portal to begin their onboarding process.
